OMYA Names Croggon President

Proctor - Calcium carbonate maker OMYA, Inc.

has named Jeremy C. Croggon as its new president.

He replaces Peter Duncan who left the company

late last year.

Croggon is the former president of English China

Clays International in Atlanta, the largest producer

of kaolin pigments in North America.

According to the company, Croggon assumes

responsibility for the manufacturing, technical,

marketing and sales of OMYA's ground calcium carbonate

production markets in the U.S. as well as Steep Rock

Resources, Inc., Perth Ontario and the Alabama

Carbonates LP operation in Sylacauga, a joint venture

with Georgia Marble.

Following his graduation from McGill University

in Montreal, Croggon has spent his entire career in

the industrial minerals business, first in Canada and

for the past 23 years in the southeastern United

States.

OMYA, a division of the Swiss-based Pluess

Staufer AG, is a major producer of ground calcium

carbonate for the paper, plastics and paint

industries.

The company said Croggon and his wife,

Christianetea, a native of Paris, will will live in

Rutland Town.
