For Immediate Release: Vermonters for a Clean Environment will proceed with the regional public forum on the proposed natural gas power plant and pipeline project in Manchester, at the Manchester Elementary School Gym, on Thursday, October 28 at 7 p.m. Newspaper reports of the demise of the natural gas project are apparently premature. Telephone calls to Tom Macaulay and his attorney resulted in confirmation that Mr. Macaulay is continuing his efforts to gain financing for the power plants. Mr. Macaulay says he will be at both Clarendon's public meeting at the Clarendon Elementary School at 7 p.m. on October 26 and VCE's public forum in Manchester at 7 p.m. on October 28.
