The meeting scheduled for Monday, June 7, 1999 on the pipeline is cancelled. It is rescheduled for Monday, June 14 at 2:00 p.m. here at the Department.

The meeting is being cancelled because at this point not much new is happening. SVNG is holding off on signing the MOU on bill backs until the financing on the plants is more firm. That means that we really are not going to be starting our work yet. It made more sense to put the meeting off for a week in the hope that financing would be resolved and we could then discuss a workplan.

The informational meeting in Arlington was very interesting. About 70 people turned out to ask questions of the project proponents and the state agencies represented. Another informational meeting will be held by the Rutland Regional Planning Commission on June 22.
