The Town of Bennington includes 3 of the several components of the power plant / pipeline project: the Vermont terminus of the proposed Iroquois Gas natural gas pipeline; the southern terminus of the proposed NYSEG/SVNG gas pipeline and its link to the Iroquois pipeline; the 270 MW gas-fired electric generating plant proposed by VEPH.
